Maria E. Frank Lloyd Wright's St. Mark's Tower project
1927–1931
Three skyscrapers planned to be build around St Mark's Church in the Bowery. The project was halted by the Great Depression, and by the time the economy recovered, the area was no longer considered fashionable.
The design of these apartment towers stemmed from Wright's vision for Usonia, a new American culture based on the synthesis of architecture and landscape.

Maria E. Charles M. Schwab mansion on 74th and Riverside Drive. 75 room chateau style mansion with views of the Hudson River. It offered to the city as a home for the Mayor but was rejected by Laguardia and demolished in 1948.
